Nine UMass Dartmouth students tried to make the world's largest snowball on Tuesday. They spent two hours rolling up a 7'4'' snowball that weighs an estimated 6,195 pounds, according to Wes Fowlks, a graduate student from Boxborough who got the possibly record-setting snowball rolling. The snowball has a circumference of 23 feet, 2 inches. A professor at the UMass Dartmouth's Civil Engineering Department measured it before it was sent to the Guinness World Record people. The students' first attempt didn't make it as the snowball was vandalized. [WCVB]
