Police observed a Boston Public School Bus make an illegal left turn on Mass. Ave. and asked the driver three times to produce his license and registration before it was provided. After citing him for failing to obey signs, the driver yelled “You’re a jerk!” and sped away. Officers stopped the bus near Enterprise Street and Willow Court. A five-hour police standoff in Wilmington ended when a gunman was found dead in his parents' house. The incident began around 7:30 a.m. when residents near Oakdale Road and Shady Lane heard an argument and several gunshots. Police surrounded 18 Oakdale Road because neighbors thought an armed man might still be inside the house. The homeowners weren't there. Neighbors got a reverse-911 call saying to stay in your homes. Police used a helicopter and K-9 dogs during the standoff. [WCVB]
