--The man shot yesterday on Harvard Street in Dorchester was leaving a funeral when he was hit. The man, 17, is in critical condition. According to the Globe, the funeral was for Charles Bunch, who died on October 14, possibly as a result of gang activity. Michele McPhee's sources ID'd the victim as David Johnson. She also noted that Johnson and the person who shot him were both wearing memorial buttons for Charles Bunch. --On...
The Globe headline read "Fans Erupt in Joy After Sox Comeback." The subhead read, "Police Arrest 12 After Victory." The Herald said that the arrest number was actually 26, and they came away from the scene with a few stories of aggressive police and skittish horses. If feminism, comedy, and just blatant, hilarious honesty, is your interest, head over to see Jill Soloway (pictured) in her "Tiny Ladies Extravaganza" at 8p.m....

Bostonist won't be spending it with anyone special this year, except for Jack Bauer, so we looked into some other options than a romantic candlelit dinner for one. Here's what we came up for those of you looking to go out tonight: The Boston Young Professionals Association has planned a "My Tie Valentine's Day Event" for those looking...
