Yes, a channel called ReelzChannel exists and owns the miniseries no channel you've heard of or watched wanted, and the 4-year-old network plans to air it beginning on Sunday, April 3. Bostonist's Comcast service lists it as non-HD #198. The CEO of ReelzChannel, Stan Hubbard, who didn't say how much "The Kennedys" cost the channel, said "We think it will drive ratings and put a spotlight on this network that has never been on it before." The History Channel canceled a miniseries starring Greg Kinnear as John F. Kennedy and Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy. According to the Globe, the series was "not a fit" for the History Channel. The Globe said The Hollywood Reporter reported the scoop first on the now canceled series, created by Joel Surnow of "24" fame. Kennedy supporters were critical of Surnow's conservative retelling of the family's history. The show will air in Canada on March 6 and could come to this country on a pay cable channel.
