--Looks like someone's parents aren't gonna be happy when they get home. Teenagers in Falmouth got busted last night for a party that was impressive in size and scope. WCVB reports, "Police said they found a keg of beer, empty liquor bottles and a marijuana bong at the house." (Is there any other kind of bong?) The law managed to take in 22 teenagers. more ›

It may be the holidays, but it's been a terrible weekend for the entire city. First was Friday night's Dorchester drive-by that left three wounded, one critically. Last night, two people were stabbed outside Symphony Hall while the Holiday Pops merrily carried on. Bostonist loves a good cup of joe in the morning. The bender we took sipping on our “light and sweet” Dunkin Donuts iced coffee this summer has left us looking for something a little more home made. Since our birthday rolled around and someone gave us the gift of a coffee grinder we’ve been grinding our own. We like to keep it local, and a little liberal, we’ve been sticking with the Equal Exchange. Operating out of a headquarters in West Bridgewater, about 45 minutes south of “Bean Town,” Equal Exchange has an expanding world-wide network of farmer co-ops.
