Boston Blotter: Victims Identified in Hyde Park Killing, JP Burglar Receives Comeuppance

-- Boston police have identified the bodies of the two men who were found dead and parked in a car outside of a Hyde Park apartment building last week. The victims, Anthony Glover, 33, of Taunton and Paul Roberson, 25 of Randolph, had been shot and stabbed to death, and police are looking for suspects in the murders. [BPDNews]

Boston Blotter: Suspect Nabbed in Ka-Carlos Killings

-- Boston cops have captured a suspect in the bloody shoot out that left two dead near Ka-Carlos, the Dorchester Cape Verdean restaurant. An investigation led cops to Emmanuel Depina, a 26-year-old Boston man, who surrendered to the Dorchester District Court this morning. [BPDNews]

Some thug left a defenseless kitten in a Hyde Park mailbox Saturday, according to news reports. A postman discovered the kitten and quickly brought her to the MSPCA hospital in Jamaica Plain, where she is recovering from being shoved through the narrow postbox slot. She will be put up adoption soon.

-- Boston police arrested 23-year-old John Mentor after the Hyde Park man allegedly opened fire on them during a drug bust. He was booked on multiple counts and reportedly told police that he "should have killed all three of you motherfuckers." [UHub, Globe]

    -- Early this morning, a woman was sexually assaulted in Egleston Square, Jamaica Plain by a man she said was a police officer, who might have been the same man police later nabbed in Roxbury, dressed like police and attempting to assault a second victim. [BPDNews]

    -- A fisticuffs between two Roxbury women turned bloody early Sunday morning after a broken bottle got involved, authorities said. Police arrested one. The stabbing victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. [BPDNews]

    -- Rodlyn Petitbois, the 25-year-old Lynn man accused of kidnapping his children and girlfriend after murdering a woman was denied bail in his trial on murder and assault and battery charges. [Herald]

    -- A 15-year-old from Dorchester was found shot to death in Brockton this morning. Deavante Muldergrant was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. No arrests have been made, and police have not named any suspects. [WBZTV]

    -- Michael Finos, 46, of Holliston, was arrested Saturday for allegedly raped an 11-year-old multiple times. Finos was arraigned this morning on charges including rape of a child, indecent assault and battery on a child under age 14, and disseminating obscene material to a minor. [Herald]

    -- Bullets filled the Roxbury air last night as a shootout resulted in an injury to a man driving a van full of children. The shootout happened around 8:00pm on Columbia Road, and police do not believe that the victim was the target of the gunmen, who have not been apprehended. Bullets riddled the driver's van and a number of local businesses, but no other injuries have been reported. [Globe]

    The Boston police have posted an artist's rendering of a suspect in the July 4 indecent assault of a woman in the North End. And the BPD has released surveillance footage of two men suspected in the quadruple shooting that took place July 4 outside a Hyde Park convenience store.

    -- Boston police have arrested a man in connection with the June 30 shooting of a 7-year-old boy who was playing kickball in Roxbury. Richard Penha, 19, of Hyde Park, pleaded not guilty to charges that he shot the boy during a shootout with an assailant on a bicycle. Authorities say that the man on the bicycle shot Penha while he was driving and that Penha returned fire, striking the boy. Penha's passenger, Kenny Francois, had previously been arrested on firearms charges related to the incident. Penha's lawyers argue that police arrested the wrong man. [WBZTV; Globe]

    -- Wellesley might be the hottest new place to encounter a prostitute, but Brighton's brothels continue to service customers who take the Green Line or the 57 bus.     -- The Bridgewater man being sought by police for the murder of his ex-wife was found dead last night, an apparent suicide. Andrew Boisvert was found hanging in an Iredell County, North Carolina rest stop. He was fleeing Friday's warrant for his arrest in the murder of Medford resident Margaret Ninos, who was found beaten to death in her home on Wednesday.
