Two alleged homemade bombs exploded in front of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Marshfield on Friday night. Police said nobody was hurt and the explosions left “basketball sized craters." The bombs were allegedly thrown from Highland Street onto the church grounds. Police said it was probably a prank and not a direct threat to the church. -- Lakeisha Gadson was acquitted today by a Suffolk County Superior Court jury of involuntary manslaughter. Gadson's 7-year-old nephew accidentally shot her 8-year-old son in 2007 after finding a loaded handgun kept in the house. The Globe reported she was also found not guilty on chargges of child endangerment, unlawful possession of a firearm, and improper storage of a firearm. -- Ayanna Woodhouse pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault and battery for the alleged beating of a woman that led to the death of her 6-month old fetus. Woodhouse fought with the victim at a Dorchester nail salon on April 10. The baby girl was deceased when delivered by C-section at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The cause of death was the placenta getting detached from the uterus. Both Woodhouse and the victim live at the same Wellesley Housing Authority development. There is a $20,000 cash bail. -- A criminal assault and battery charge will be filed against an Arlington Catholic High School football player after he allegedly headbutted a player from Abington High School in a game in September. There is no arraignment date set yet. The victim's lawyer said the Arlington Catholic player "took his helmet off and headbutted him." The suspect's lawyer, Ronald A.
