Today (or if you’re reading this post after 12:00 p.m. EDT, then, yesterday) Shanghaiist made a grand entrance onto the scene. We’ve been hearing a lot about China lately, from Dick Gordon’s seeming fascination with the country to Grandad’s stories about growing up in Shanghai (Great Grandad Bostonist was head of the YMCA over there). In a Boston connection, albeit fictional, Dan points out that Cliff Clavin could have been Chinese, since 30% of Chinese adults live with their parents, just like Cliff. Bostonist isn’t sure if Dan has a one-child policy of his own but it seems Jackie Chan has married off all the women from his staff.
