Conan O'Brien was last seen serving as a Jimmy Fallon punchline, and a nominee, at the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday. more ›

In a somewhat innovative move, NBC has confirmed that Jay Leno will shift to an 11:35 time slot but be followed by Conan O'Brien at 12:05, then Jimmy Fallon at 1:05, shaking up the traditional 11:35 / 12:35 / 1:35 late-night lineup. It's not clear whether any show will continue to be marketed as the Tonight Show. NBC hosts the Olympics in February, which would have disrupted late-night programming anyway, leaving open an opportunity to change the lineup. Regardless, it sounds like both of our local comedians are secure at NBC... for now. more ›

The world is filled with unfunny people. You live with them, work for them, you’re probably dating one. But it’s different when they’re sucking on a small scale. It’s when they suddenly get a wild hair up their ass and decide to take their act on the road with dreams in becoming the next Pryor. The sad thing is, it’s usually the people void of any talent that go further than the ones who do. more ›

Actor/comedian Jimmy Fallon went a little "play some Skynard!" at a Bang Camaro gig at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. According to the Inside Track, Bang Camaro had to talk him down a little when he "demanded" that they play some Doors: “All was going fine until halfway through the set I hear some idiot bellowing into one of our mikes,” said Bang Camaro guitarist Alex Necochea. “I look up and see Fallon... more ›

If you try and forget for a second that Jimmy Fallon is the lead in this movie and you focus some more on the fact that Fever Pitch is more a love letter from two New England boys to our Red Sox and to the city of Boston, you might just enjoy it. Thankfully, reviews are coming in saying that this is a winner and something that people will enjoy. Bostonist will be at the theater this weekend taking it in and will no doubt have more than enough to say about what's good and what's "retahded". more ›

Boston Red Sox have long supported the Jimmy Fund as their official charity. Today Mayor Menino brings another Jimmy to the Hub. Jimmy Fallon will be given a key to the city later today in a ceremony officiated by Menino and Governor Mitt Romney. After Fallon’s six year stint on Saturday Night Live and countless portrayals of characters hailing from the Bay State Jimmy Fallon will be given the honor he deserves. Recurring characters portrayed by Jimmy Fallon such as Pat Sullivan, Patrick Fitzwilliam, and Romney’s personal favorite of Jarret the Hamphire College best friend of Gobi (Horatio Sanz) are attributed as initiation rights for Fallon as an honorary Bostonian. Mayor Menino said in a written statement "Jimmy Fallon has done a lot to honor Boston's tradition of Irish heritage and fanatic following of the Red Sox." Fallon’s upcoming release of Fever Pitch in which he co-stars with Drew Barrymore has propelled Fallon into the Boston honorary citizen hall of fame. An impersonated Southie accent and honor given to the Boston Red Sox victory last fall made Menino and Romney feel compelled to honor Jimmy Fallon for his contribution in glorifying Boston. The ceremony is to be held this afternoon at Fenway Park where Jimmy will not only be presented with a key to the city but will also receive the winning ball from the final game of the World Series 2004. more ›

While Bostonist thought it was bit strange to see two non-Sox fans on the field that night, we will accept it if the Farrelly Brothers pull off another "wicked good" comedy. Early screenings have called their new flick better than "Something About Mary." Well, if it isn't, we'll sign up with Rich Brady. more ›
