Jose Gonzalez, 32, of Somerville is charged with mayhem after he allegedly cut off three of his girlfriend’s fingers after an a Saturday morning argument in the South End. Gonzalez was held without bail on Tuesday. Police recovered a severed pinky finger and a foldout knife, and have security camera footage of Gonzalez dropping her off at the Boston Medical Center.
