Eighteen-year old Nathaniel Fujita of Wayland is being held without bail for the weekend murder of his ex-girlfriend, 18-year-old Lauren Astley. The teens reportedly met with each other Sunday night. Middelex County DA Gerry Leone said Astley was killed by strangulation and a stab wound to her neck. Police allegedly found substantial evidence at the Fujita home in Wayland that included blood in the garage, kitchen, and bathroom, a bungy cord, and bloody clothes and sneakers in Fujita's bedroom. Bostonist doesn't know a great deal about sailing not to mention extreme sailing. But, it looks extremely exciting. The Extreme Sailing Series is part of the 30th Boston Harborfest Fourth of July weekend festivities. Read about it here because we can't explain it as good.

Bostonist was recently flying back to Boston on a plane full of British teenagers, who were coming to Massachusetts to work at a summer camp in the western part of the state. Most of them had never been to the U.S. before, and they were all marveling at the same thing: the gigantic sodas they bought at the airport’s Burger King and the concept of free refills. They were nothing short of amazed.
