Our winter of wacky weather has now turned to lightning and wind, after snow and cold and hot temperatures. The wind caused almost 15,000 homes in Massachusetts to have no electricity around noon today. Two JetBlue planes headed to Logan Airport from Tampa and Baltimore were struck by lightning Friday. Both flights landed without incident.

It is starting to rain. The downpour is accompanied by thunderstorms and some violent lightning and flooding that promises to wreak havoc on area commutes and weekend plans throughout the Hub.
