The Red Sox responded to a two-game mini-slump with a resoundingly one-sided 14-0 victory last night against the Blue Jays. Boston scored early and often with four runs in the first inning and 10 runs off of Toronto starter Luis Perez, who lasted just 2.2 innings. Boston pounded the Jays for 20 hits. David Ortiz and Marco Scutaro combined for an 8-11 performance with six RBI and five RBI. Scutaro was 4-5 (three doubles) with four RBI. more ›

The Miami Heat put the Celtics in an unfamiliar place on Tuesday night, a 2-0 series deficit in the era of the current Big Three, after a decisive 102-91 victory in the Eastern Conference semifinal series.
