A 25-year-old mother and her 2-year-old son were found dead in a dumpster behind their Warren Avenue apartment in Brockton on Monday. Police identified the mother as Maria Avelina Palaguachi-Cela and her son as Brian Palaguachi. The mother is reportedly an immigrant from South America. Daniel Kerrigan, father of figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, died two weeks ago after struggling with his son Mark in his Stoneham residence. The cause of death for Daniel Kerrigan has been identified as a heart attack following an altercation, with the manner of death ruled homicide. Mark Kerrigan, who pleaded not guilty to earlier charges of assault related to the incident, is currently under psychiatric observation. No additional charges have been made in the case thus far.
