Cities and towns are reacting and beginning to clean up after Wednesday's tornadoes devastated Central and Western Massachusetts. In the aftermath of the storm, stories about the victims who died are emerging. A Springfield woman died after putting "her 15-year-old daughter in the tub of their Union Street home and (laying) on top of her." An ongoing issue is the lack of electricity. Our winter of wacky weather has now turned to lightning and wind, after snow and cold and hot temperatures. The wind caused almost 15,000 homes in Massachusetts to have no electricity around noon today. Two JetBlue planes headed to Logan Airport from Tampa and Baltimore were struck by lightning Friday. A day after the Blizzard of 2010, two Massachusetts towns are coping with its aftermath. Scituate still faces power outages around town. Town officials report that a sea wall was damaged, along with damage to countless homes. Selectman John Danehey said the town needs state or federal aid to cover millons in estimated damages. In Norwell, the town is irate over National Grid's handling of power outages. Mount Blue Street was without power for 50 hours.
