In case you haven't heard the next week promises to show us the winter we've been missing out – only minus the snow. Cold temperatures (below freezing every day!) will be the rule according to the current outlook. Perfect time to head out to your favorite music venue. There's no better way we can think of to stay warm. This week you'll find the old, the new, the nerd, and some classical among the......

The Boston Globe had a little sidebar note in the morning paper today that the revised, now three instead of the initial four floors, Apple Store plans for the 815 Boylston St. address had been approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Apple still has to go through the process of applying for the necessary demolition and building permits to turn the building into the three story glass façade building it is currently planning. Trilogy, the construction project in the Fenway that's seemed to take forever, is slowly wrapping up the construction phase. The small road connecting Kilmarnock Rd to Brookline Ave (the small intersection with Fullerton St. near the Art Store) was paved and opened about a month ago. A story hit the wire about a maternity chain that may be guilty of discriminating against a pregnant woman. US District Court in Boston began jury selection today in the case of discrimination in which Cynthia Papageorge is suing Mothers Work Inc. Papageorge looks to collect compensation for damages incurred in the form of emotional distress and lost wages after she was fired after May 2000. Mothers Work Inc. operates a number of maternity stores......

My sister got engaged over Christmas and is insisting that I be the maid/matron/whatever of honor at her October wedding. I'm the only female in the wedding other than the bride, so I get to pick any dress I'd like to wear. My sister is coming to town over Easter to "help me" with this choice, and I'm at a loss as to which stores we should hit. Filene's seems a natural, but are there......
