Music legend James Brown died quietly on Christmas, which is a shock. His unbelievable energy and larger-than-life persona suggested that he would leave the earth with as much dramatic flair as he brought to the stage. In fact, it's easier to imagine a factotum slinging a cape over Brown's shoulders and escorting him to the backstage in the sky than thinking of him taking his last breaths in a hospital, just like an ordinary guy.......

We're getting close, damn close, to the start of the Patriots regular season. Perhaps it will help us take the sting away from what's going on with the Sox lately. There will be some new music at Gillette Stadium for this season's home games. Every time the Pats score a touchdown they'll employ a little celebratory ditty. If you aren't familiar with the term, don't worry. All you need to know is......

We feel bad about bringing a flash animation set to music to you for the video today. So we’re going to share with you one of the best performances we’ve seen in a while: Gnarls Barkley on Top of the Pops. Fully YouTubable with fair sound quality – but don’t crank it up, it’ll get a little shady. We’ve been watching this video (mostly for the even more stunning live version of the song) by......

We’re working for the weekend and it's only Monday. Rainy day outside and the sun is reported MIA until Wednesday. Despite the current gloom, things are looking mighty green outside - a good sign of spring. Flowering trees have done their thing and soon we’ll be smelling the lilacs. For now we’re settling for another cup of Stella while we soak up the tunes and the increasing temperatures. Monday 4/24: John Vanderslice mk Ultra......

A few weeks ago, a story that Kevin Millar was going to be made over by the Fab 5 from "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" surfaced and now it appears to have been true...and he's not alone in wanting to get in touch with his feminine side. The Bravo show arrived in Florida today to begin their transformation of six of the World Champion Idiots of Fenway Park. Millar has been joined by fellow......
