A 25-year-old mother and her 2-year-old son were found dead in a dumpster behind their Warren Avenue apartment in Brockton on Monday. Police identified the mother as Maria Avelina Palaguachi-Cela and her son as Brian Palaguachi. The mother is reportedly an immigrant from South America. Both bodies were recovered intact, said Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz. He also said the crime was not random. [WHDH]

Boston Blotter: Man Escapes From Chelsea Cops, Arraignment in Green Line Incident, Counterfeit money
-- Joel McDonald, 20, of Chelsea escaped Thursday while being taken to Chelsea District Court for an arraignment on charges from an incident earlier this year. McDonald was handcuffed when he escaped. Chelsea police Chief Brian A. Kyes said of the escapee: "Some kids are very fast. Like lightning. He’s young and he has the motivation to go."
McDonald was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and a red T-shirt. He has his hair in braids, weighs 140 pounds and is 5' 8''. He is "extremely dangerous." [Globe, Herald]
-- A woman was robbed at gunpoint today during a daytime invasion of her parents' home in Everett. Michelle Nguyen, 24 of Malden, was babysitting her 2 year-old nephew this morning when a man dressed completely in black entered the house and held a gun to her head. She parted with $500. --23-year-old Joseph Clarke was shot and killed at the intersection of Bowdoin and Norton Streets early yesterday. He was shot in the head soon after he called his mother to wish him a happy birthday. According to family members, the ex-boyfriend of Clarke's girlfriend had threatened him in the past.
