Movies are produced locally on a regular basis. Johnny Hickey's film, OxyMorons, is not different in that regard. However, Hickey, a Charlestown native, lived his story and wants it to help other people. He was addicted to Oxycontin, became a drug dealer, and went to jail. He's been drug free since 2003 and now tells his story to anyone or everyone he can. He wants people to learn from him. "Hopefully a movie like mine can scare somebody not to go off and do drugs...And if you're on the verge of trying to get clean, this might push you into getting clean," he said. OxyMorons debuts February 4 at Showcase Cinemas in Revere. [WCVB]

He was locked in his room and was aggressive towards the officers once he opened his door. His fists were clinched and he said "I’m not going anywhere." He was charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. [BPDNews.com]
--For the third time in recent weeks, Quincy police have arrested people on drug charges who allegedly brought their children to apparent drug deals. On Thursday, a 21-year old Hyde Park woman brought her 4-week-old baby boy with her while making an alleged heroin delivery. Police allege the suspect admitted to having heroin hidden in her underwear when officers confronted her. The woman and a man who accompanied her were both charged with heroin trafficking. The baby was taken to Quincy Medical Center and police notified the state Department of Families and Children. Men allegedly selling cocaine, in March, and OxyContin, in April, brought young children with them. [Patriot Ledger]
New England Patriot offensive lineman Nicholas Kaczur was busted for buying oxycontin in April. On the spectrum of sports shenanigans, that's fairly minor. But what makes this story especially impressive is that Kaczur turned in his suppliers to the cops, and the news of the arrest just got out today.
