Yes, that's right. Last week, historic Plymouth Rock was the target of vandals bearing blue spray paint and they scribbled the initials MLD and the word "folk" on the rock and its granite portico. The graffiti also included at least two Stars of David and one cactus-like symbol. Few things in this state offer so much buildup with so little payoff as Plymouth Rock. It's famous, it's historic (well, kind of), it's enclosed in a grand and stately pavilion, and people run towards it with eyes aglow and camera readied, and...it's a rock. In some sand. Throughout the rainy weekend, as we moped around the house, looking forlornly at our bicycle and wishing for a break in the weather, we kept reminding ourselves that April showers bring May flowers. In 2006 a group of students now attending Harding University in Arkansas hope to found a new church in Boston, or, well, it seems Quincy is now top on the list. Boston Church Plant has been developing plans to plant Christian values here in the Hub with a new church. It seems like Boston has been having weather more like londonist is used to experiencing. The promise of 50 or 60 degree weather hasn’t materialized as of yet, though it’s rumored to roll in around midnight. The fog and rain we’ve seen is a little better than the frigid temps we saw last year at this time. We have the fog but no Prince Harry scandal. What is a “Fancy-Dress” party anyway, is it a costume ball with British twang?
