We're changing things up with an old school Polaroid today by RobertSchneider 三日坊主. We've gotten used to seeing digitally altered images that mimic Polaroid's washed out frames and discolored edges, but the real thing has a quality all its own. We feel like how the monochrome face in this photo is peering out at us and seems totally aware of our presence. Eerie and intimate. Nice capture.
We’ve been thinking about portraiture lately, and how good it feels to snap a photo of a person that captures something real about them. The genuine expression on the subject’s face, the light but intentional pose, and the texture from the old school Polaroid film create a great effect. Nice shot, light under a bushel.
light under a bushel has today's Film Friday shot featuring a fantastic innovation, the often overlooked downspout. It keeps rain from coming off the roof and drenching us, and as this photo shows, when paired with colorful walls and algae, they make for a nice colorful photo as well.
Looking through the archives we came across this gem of a shot of a young lady, presumably Hannah, appearing lost in introspection. Good lighting and Polaroid film give the shot a fantastic retro look and feel. Great shot Cordless_Corey.
