An unidentified Woburn police officer was shot during an attempted robbery at Musto Jewelers at 186 Cambridge Road. The shooting reportedly took place in a parking lot behind the building where the store is. WCVB reported one suspect was caught and police are searching for two others, one who fled the scene on foot and another in a car. The officer is being treated at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. In December of 2010, Woburn officer John Maguire, 60, was killed during a robbery attempt at Kohl's department store.

A Woburn police officer was shot and killed Sunday night during an attempted armed robbery at a Kohl's department store on Washington Street in Woburn. Three people allegedly attempted to rob the store, police were called, and the unnamed officer was fatally shot in the line of duty.
