Regular commuters, part time enthusiasts, friends, and allies of bikers will be donning their helmets (please put on your helmet) and taking to the streets to celebrate a great form of human powered transportation. Bostonist is sick to death of all those ginormous SUVs parking in "compact" spaces down at the Porter Sq Star Market. So it was comforting to see news today saying that children are just as safe (if not safer) in small cars as they are in SUVs. Bostonist would certainly be happy to see a few more families hauling kids around in some city-friendly cars for a change. (And really, after overhearing someone say he'd like to "stab SUV drivers in the eye" for parking infractions, cars seem a whole lot safer, at least in Porter Sq.)
