Steve Bohn, 24, of Peabody was injured in a suicide bomber attack while serving in Afghanistan in 2008. Now, the Army 101st Airborne Division veteran is recovering from emergency surgery after being beaten by two men outside of The Page, a bar in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Sunday. The Portsmouth Herald reported Bohn said he was assaulted and spit on by a group of people. Police said Bohn and a suspect were asked to leave the bar after an altercation of some kind. Police arrested two men for the assault. One is charged with simple assault and two counts of second-degree assault, and the other faces second degree assault, resisting arrest and simple assault charges. more ›

One passenger overheard another passenger, a native of Burundi here legally, allegedly discussing a bomb and alerted police via 911. The Burundi man faces no charges.
