The collegiate population may deem Thursdays "Thirsty Thursdays", but as a majority of them have departed our fine city for internships in New York, jobs back home, or foreign lands - we here at Bostonist HQ have come to view Thursday as dance night. So after we walked by the store, we recalled hearing about this local designer that was recently copied by the hipster mega-chain, Urban Outfitters. It seems that Johnny Cupcakes approached Urban about carrying some of their tees in their stores. Urban passed on the offer and instead used the design for their own t-shirt. The proof is in the pudding...or cupcake for that matter.

International Art and Design Collective Project SF are taking over Great Scott [1222 Comm. Ave, Allston] for the month of April. Coming off the success of recent gallery showings and art events, Project SF will hold an opening for the transformed environment on April 9th, 7:30pm-2am and special guests will be providing the soundtrack for the evening. Saturday night is The Plan at Great Scott and The Nonfamous and the Plain Janes, are playing and DJ's Redd Foxx and Makko are spinning.

Tonight in Cambridge, at ZuZu's, the lounge at Middle East, Project SF will be hosting a redecorating party. It's going to be a live art installation inside and outside of ZuZu's. Mister Never, Nick Zaremba, and Dana Woulfe are going to attack the outside of the space while, Oliver, Redd and Dave spin records for the installations inside. Other guerrilla artists will be in attendance to share in the fun and help with the exterior.
