We're obviously suckers for the hilarity that is a headline pun. Perhaps the most literal, yet still hilarious, headline printed in a while related to the recent unarmed robbery of a Rozzie bank. The Parkway Blog, a new blog by the Town Online paper subset from West Roxbury and Roslindale Transcript, recounts the incident where a 14 year-old walked into a bank, passed a note, and received an undisclosed amount of US currency (we're waiting for the day they give them Canadian currency just to stick them with the exchange rate). The best part of the story is that the heist had its fair share of problems, no clean get away was had. The suspect was shortly apprehended with a 17 year old, who would also be charged, when he was found after the splotches of red dye were found on his door handle and the walls leading to his apartment – when he was found he had just showered and Boston Police found that his shower was stained red with dye. The bank teller not only passed cash but also a dye pack to stain the cash and identify the burgler to authorities. Perhaps it's from film that the assumption is made but Bostonist always thought the dye was purple – it's much more appropriate when the dye is red and headlines like "caught red handed" can be employed in reporting the story to the public. Kudos Cooperative Bank, your dye pack color choice is worth a chuckle.
