Today, "internet safety experts" will train law enforcement officers about sexting, which apparently refers to "the sending of sexually explicit photographs over cell phones," though we mistakenly thought it just referred to sending dirty texts. Guess we're behind the times, and have never sexted ourselves! Rats. Regardless, internet safety seminars covering sext-ed, online bullying, and identity theft will be offered throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island this week. It seems silly, in some ways, but young people do need to know how to protect themselves—and behave properly—online and on cell phones. Let's hope the seminars are actually helpful and not just a waste of students' time. more ›
