We wish we'd seen this in person, but ABVD Photography's photo of the rainbow over Boston will have to (and does) suffice. We love the the super saturated colors and the proportion of sky to skyline. Also, the fact that the rainbow is sort of atypically stubby— more vertical than arc-like—is interesting.

.laz seems to have put himself into the right place at the right time to get a terrific sunset picture of Boston. As the name implies, the slice of red nicely covers the city as blues and browns dominate the sky and water. The clouds are full of texture and substance, while the sailboats are a great addition to the Charles.
Contributor nathantia joined other members of the flickr Boston, Massachusetts group for a night shoot from Piers Park. Although there are many great shots from that meetup, this one stands out for us. The fog encompassing the city, the golden colors, the composition, and the softness of the water all add upon each other to complete an excellent photo.
Today's PotD comes from one of our favorite photogs gnarayan. This Fenway shot was taken during a helicopter trip a few hours before the Red Sox game. The #7 mowed into the field is in honor of Dom DiMaggio who passed away on 5/8/09. This aerial shot affords us a unique perspective on the city and allows for many of Boston's most recognizable landmarks to be viewed at the same time.
We love this great birds-eye view shot from walknboston. This is a view of downtown not often seen (anyone know where it could be from?), and the snow cover over the city really adds a layer of beauty. The over-all green tones are fantastic and the light at the base of the Hancock perfectly completes the scene.
