Vinny apparently quit the "Jersey Shore" and The Situation might be next. Is the Jersey crew closing in on the final moments of their 15 minutes of fame? Just in case the unthinkable is true, one of the show's Executive Producers is officially looking to cast a Boston version of the show. Working under the title "The Real Beantown," the show plans to shoot in Southie and wants only the "proudest Boston natives" to apply for a spot on the show. Producers want to cast "tough-talkin', hard-drinkin'" Bostonians to "live it up in the heart of Southie." Anyone over 21 can apply. Just submit home videos at the official casting website, TheRealBeantownCasting.com.

The fire closed the Moakley bridge, which connects South Boston to the Financial District, to vehicular traffic, causing a jumbled commute for beleaguered workers going to or from Southie.
