MBTA bus and train drivers are often seen in a negative light. Today, we have sympathy for one of them after an unidentified driver was allegedly assaulted with a metal pipe by a passenger on Sunday. The passenger initially refused to pay her fare. After paying, she allegedly tried to change her clothes on the bus. The passenger spat in the driver's fae as she left the Route 31 bus at 676 Morton St. in Mattapan. She had a metal pipe on her person that she hit the driver with after getting off the bus.
