A man wearing a SpongeBob SquarePants winter hat was arrested yesterday after allegedly exposing himself to a crowd of 40 or so people at the Ashmont T stop. He first mooned the passengers and then "winked and smiled" at the crowd, and then pulled his pants down completely, spun around and fondled himself. The Dorchester man fled after a passenger threatened to take his picture. He was charged with open and gross lewdness, released, and ordered to visit the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. Despite what Bostonist is now calling "The Debacle" of last night, other stuff happened today.
Bostonist has been dodging the youngsters all week. It's that time again- Winter Break. The city has been buzzing with activities for the kids, and we're sure that last night's snow equals a day of hard core sledding for the local school children. The week ends on a high note for many with the arrival of the Boston Children's Expo at the Bayside Expo Center. This year's special guests include Bob & Larry from Veggie Tales, SpongeBob SquarePants, Pikachu, and the old standby Ronald McDonald. They'll also have boatloads of inflatables, NASCAR driving, and candy.
