-- A criminal assault and battery charge will be filed against an Arlington Catholic High School football player after he allegedly headbutted a player from Abington High School in a game in September. There is no arraignment date set yet. The victim's lawyer said the Arlington Catholic player "took his helmet off and headbutted him." The suspect's lawyer, Ronald A. -- Update on the stabbing in Revere. Police have identified the suspect. 23 year-old Cory Roche, of Lynn, allegedly stabbed his mother to death in her home yesterday. Police responding to the incident shot Roche in the torso after he allegedly refused to drop a knife.

--An employee at the TGI Friday's at the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley in Millbury was stabbed to death in broad daylight in the restaurant's parking lot.
