Three men found dead in a Waltham apartment on Monday were all stabbed in the neck, according to prosecutors and police. The murder victims were identified as Brandon Mess, 25, of Waltham; Erik Weissman, 31, of Cambridge; and Raphael Teken, 37, of Cambridge. Mess lived in the apartment that was the scene of the crime. A female college student was allegedly sexually assaulted on the Esplanade and thrown into the Charles River on Sunday morning. A man told police he found the woman, soaking wet, near the Massachusetts Avenue bridge and se allegedly said she was assaulted. The victim left the area without her purse and identification and when police found her after that, she declined medical attention and couldn't describe the attacker. The Suffolk County D.A. and the State Police advised people to avoid traveling alone and stay in well-lit areas. [WCVB]
A 12-year old Franklin boy was arrested on Sunday morning after stabbing his nine-year old brother four times with a kitchen knife. He's charged him with domestic assault and battery, assault to maim and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and being held on $50,000 bail. [Milford Daily News]
Mark Kerrigan was acquitted on Wednesday of involuntary manslaughter in the 2010 death of his father. The jury convicted Kerrigan of assault and battery on a person 60 years of age and older, a charge that could put himiin jail for up to 2.5 years. Kerrigan's lawyers argued Daniel Kerrigan died from heart disease. Nancy Kerrigan said her family never believed her brother was guilty. [WCVB]
Darrell Rodrigues, 20, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for his role in the 2007 shooting death of 13-year old Luis Gerena Jr. in Jamaica Plain. He faces 14-15 years in prison. Rodrigues and his co-defendant belong to the Academy Homes gang and thought Gerena was a member of the rival Heath Street gang. [Herald]
Two brothers, one a University of Massachusetts student, were injured on Friday night when a dispute over a parking spot escalated into an assault with a socket wrench in an Amherst parking lot. The 22-year old student suffered "spinal and head trauma and multiple fractures in his leg" after he was beaten with a 24-inch wrench. The suspect denied the chages of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery with serious bodily injury. A pre-trial hearing is set for on June 13. [MassLive.com]
Matthew Worster, 17, of Easton was arrested for allegedly killing his mother and burying her in the family's yard. Beth Spartichino, 42, was found on Thursday after being reported missing on Wednesday. He is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and intent to murder, and could be charged with murder after an autopsy. Worster reportedly told his younger brother he shot his mother. Three people were stabbed on Saturday night at Mama Blanca’s Restaurant on Saratoga Street in East Boston. Police responded around 10:30 p.m. to a fight in progress and found two bloodied people outside. The three men had a verbal altercation inside that led to a physical altercation outside. An attorney for 17-year-old Sharon Chanon Velazquez has apparently agreed to a plea deal in the Phoebe Prince bullying case. Three people were arrested at a baby shower Lawrence on Saturday. A brawl began after a woman was hit in the head with a bottle. Two people were stabbed. A Hingham man faces multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, trespassing, and a civil rights violation with injury, after allegedly attacking two people in Waltham last week. Timothy A. Schmitt, 22, of Hingham and Bentley University pleaded not guilty and was held on $2,000 cash bail. Schmitt allegedly attacked a pregnant woman and a deaf black man, and used racial slurs toward them. The man suffered a broken skull bone. Amy Bishop was indicted on capital murder and attempted murder charges for her involvement in the 2010 killing of three University of Alabama Huntsville professors. She allegedly shot three other faculty members. Bishop allegedly killed her brother in 1986 in Braintree. She was indicted for first-degree murder by the Norfolk district attorney’s office in June. Three of Massachusetts' Top 10 Wanted Sex Offenders have been arrested. Caesar J. Delgado, 44, was arrested in Central Falls, R.I. He faces four counts of rape of a child with force and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. He also failure to register as a sex offender. He'll be arraigned as a fugitive before returning to Massachusetts. State Police arrested Steven M. Hescock, 34, in Revere today for failure to register as a sex offender, assault and battery, larceny and motor vehicle violations in Middlesex and Suffolk counties. Franklin C. Miller, 33, was arrested in Boston Thursday for failure to register as a sex offender. [Globe]
A Medford woman allegedly killed her husband with a cooking knife after she found a hickey on his neck. Police found Troy Burston shirtless with a stab wound, allegedly inflicted by his wife Shawntina Burston, in the chest outside of his home on Exchange Avenue last night. The couple, who have two children, fought after returning home from a party. Burston pleaded not guilty on Monday in Somerville District Court. She was held without bail. A homeless man stabbed an employee of the Lowell Transitional Living Center to death on Saturday. Pericles Clergeau allegedly stabbed Jose Rafael Roldan after Roldan tried to calm Clergeau down. A week ago, a group home worker was killed by a resident. [Herald]
Richard Walling pleaded not not guilty to two counts of manslaughter in Wareham District Court today after two masked men tried to steal $10,000 he inherited. Walling reportedly stabbed Leonard Bolia, 35, and Ryan Aponte at the White Pines Motel. Both men died. Walling's bail is $50,000. He allegedly stabbed someone in 2010 and attacked someone else earlier this year in Wareham. [Globe]

-- Both men involved in Monday's road rage incident in Dorchester will face charges. Colum J. Flaherty, 62, of Quincy was involved in a crash on Morrissey Boulevard that led to a traffic jam. According to prosecutors, a third driver, apparently upset at being delayed by the accident, began banging on Flaherty's car before opening a car door and striking him. Flaherty's attorney said his client responded by stabbing the third driver in the arm to defend himself. Flaherty pleaded not guilty to one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in Dorchester Municipal Court. -- Six bridesmaids were forced to flee from a limousine as it was carjacked by a man armed with a hammer outside of a wedding in Dorchester Saturday. The suspect reportedly attacked the limo driver as the bridesmaids escaped, and them took off in the limo. He allegedly robbed a home before stealing the limousine. the limo was reportedly left on West Fifth Street. The suspect was at large last night.
-- Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said 31 arrests were made in a year-long organized crime and drug trafficking probe. Mark Rossetti, a reputed New England mob capo, was arrested for directing extortion and drug trafficking efforts. Winthrop's Darin Bufalino was arrested for allegedly working for Rossetti. Law enforcement officials recovered $1.3 million in cash, a kilo of heroin and 200 pounds of marijuana. [WCVB]
-- Hector Guardiola, 25, of South Boston was indicted for manslaughter and two counts of assault and battery on Wednesday over an incident at the Lansdowne Pub on August 14. Guardiola allegedly threw a mug that shattered, sending glass flying and ultimately striking and killing Michael DiMaria, 23, of Hicksville, N.Y. He's held on $100,000 bail and will be arraigned November 10 in Suffolk Superior Court. [Globe]
An employee at Anna's Taqueria was stabbed by a co-worker on Wednesday after an argument on MIT's campus. The incident happened at 4:30 p.m. at the MIT Student Center. No arrests have been made, but the following description of a suspect was released: Hispanic, age 20-30, 5’8’’ to 5’9’’ wearing a red and black baseball cap with the letter C and wearing light blue jeans. -- Eva Flores,18, pleaded not guilty to dropping her newly born son out a window and down 17-feet into an East Boston alley on September 20. She is charged with reckless endangerment of a child and assault and battery of a child under 14. Flores is an illegal immigrant from El Salvador and is being held on a federal immigration detainer. -- A Yankees fan allegedly stabbed a Red Sox fan in the neck at the Chowder Pot Restaurant in Branford, Conn. on Saturday. The incident started as a baseball discussion. The victim is in critical condition at the hospital. He fled the scene tried to dispose of the knife. He was arrested for first-degree assault, tampering with evidence and other charges, and is held with a $500,000 bond. [WCVB]
-- Robenson Daniel, 20, a Wheelock College student, pleaded not guilty in the stabbing death of Elhadji Ndiaye last week at Regis College. Daniel's attorney said he was defending himself. Friday morning stabbing in a Regis College parking lot left one man dead and a second wounded. Neither victim attends Regis. Middlesex D. A. Gerry Leone said it was not random. No arrests have been made. The man who died was identified as 18-year-old Elhaji Malick Ndiaye of Waltham. His father said his son made mistakes.
