Steve Carell visited Massachusetts with his family this month to spend time at the Marshfield Hills General Store that he bought in 2008. Almost 10% of the 357 Bay State school districts have incomplete anti-bullying plans. Remember to follow Bostonist on Twitter and like us on Facebook. more ›

Steven Tyler is talking about his downward spiral that was 2009 as Aerosmith readies for its 2010 U.S Tour by touring Europe and South and Central America. While 2009 was about Steven being Steven, 2010 is about the band. Or, as Tyler says, "Everyone’s got their problems and their demons, but when we get onstage and play as five, that really all goes away, and that’s really all I look at now." more ›

Rumor has it that Burlington's own Amy Poehler may soon leave Saturday Night Live to join Massachusetts natives Steve Carell, B.J. Novak, and John Krasinski on "The Office." A Boston College alum, Poehler is known for (wo)manning the SNL newsdesk, imitating HRC, and playing that incredibly terrible one-legged farting character. (We really hope that's not who--or what--she's going to be on "The Office.") Might Conan forego his upcoming Tonight Show gig to become the next Bay Stater to saddle up at the desk farm? In a world where there's nothing to do but watch movies. In a city full of theaters, museums, and libraries. One moviegoer who can be in three places at once. Thursday 8/3 Stolen One of the things that endears the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum to us (along with the dim lighting, strict ban on electronic devices, and terse signage) is how the frames of missing paintings hang empty on the walls. (As per Mrs. Gardner's... more ›

Now that the new fall season of reality TV shows has started up, Bostonist feels at home again. After a summer of Rescue Me and Laguna Beach, we are ready to go back to the network stations and their new round of awful (yet enjoyable) reality TV shows. As usual, the city of Boston has spread their seed into the homes of America with a new cast of reality characters. On Wednesday night, Martha Stewart's... more ›
