Two people were rescued from their car after it got stuck, upside down, in a swamp near the Auburn-Worcester line. The people included an 18-year old pregnant woman and her boyfriend. This weekend is the 20th Anniversary of the UMass Extravaganja, a festival designed to promote the legalization of marijuana. Today's scary thunderstorms also produced quite a flood in Somerville's Union Square. No word on whether any cars actually floated away on Lake Street, which certainly lived up to its name today. The flood apparently went down after the rain ceased. Video from AC.
