There's something heartwarming about tradition. It brings people together, it gives those people something to celebrate, and it provides us all with a little something to look forward to. However, when it comes to punk rock, it's always been this Bostonist's humble opinion that breaking with tradition and rejecting the histrionics of ritualized performance for something meaningful, even downright touching, is what defines punk.
