The man with the rifle at Burlington Mall was really carrying an umbrella. Yes, a man was carrying an umbrella when rain was forecast. "The situation is cleared. There was no threat," State Police said in a statement. State Police reportedly interviewed the man, after he called to identify himself, and determined he wasn't a threat. A 68-year old Framingham man died after a drug raid at 26 Fountain St. in Framingham in which a SWAT team member's weapon discharged, killing Eurie Stamp. Police arrested Joseph Bushfan, 20, of Framingham, and Devon Talbert, also 20, of Boston, for possession with intent to deliver a class B drug and drug violation in a school zone based on a Framingham sting operation. Bushfan was held on $5000 cash bail and has prior offenses. Talbot was released on personal recognizance. Police got a search warrant after a confidential informant allegedly bought crack cocaine from Bushfan and Talbert. The shooting is still being investigated. [Globe]
