--Four people, among them three juveniles, have been arrested for the fatal shooting of a man in Cambridge at Windsor and Howard Friday night. The victim was 18-year-old Lucien Christalin, of Mattapan. A spokesperson for the Middlesex DA said "the victim and shooter knew each other." [Boston Herald, Cambridge Chronicle]
--The BPD gathered together owners of establishments that sell liquor in response to the two incidents in which a creep offered women rides, took them to Charlestown, and sexually assaulted them. According to the BPD, both crimes "originated in the State Street area."
After freezing our buns off outside Casa Lampoon, while 'Pooners were slinging T-shirts and crackers at the crowd, only to be told that Paris Hilton was late, we're glad that we weren't the only ones who missed out on seeing the Queen of Wine in a Can.* The BPD denied a group of rowdy fans the opportunity to see Ms. Hilton early this morning on Warrenton Street:
--Bostonist hasn't seen a "flagrant foul," or a sports-related blotter entry, in some time. The bad situation that was the Super Bowl loss just got worse for New England Patriots defensive back Willie Andrews, who was busted driving an unregistered car and having pot on him in Lowell. If it had happened to anyone one else, on any other day, no one would have cared. But the Herald points out that Andrews has a record. Uh, Not-So-Big Willie Style, anyone? --A suspect was arrested in the shooting death of a man in a Lawrence restaurant last night. The suspect took a cab to the crime scene, committed the murder, and then took the same cab home, making it pretty easy for police to find him. [
--An update on the murder of Daniel Yakovleff, who was stabbed to death in Dorchester. The lawyer for the man who owned the apartment in which Yakovleff died says that the BPD no longer considers the owner a suspect and that they are looking for a third man who may be involved with the crime. However, the BPD is saying that the owner is still a "person of interest." Police are still trying to find out how Yakovleff went from the Eagle bar in the South End to the Dorchester apartment. --Two employees at the International House of Pancakes in Brighton got into a knife fight yesterday evening at 5:00, just in time to scare the hell out of the early birds.
--More on the murder of a man at King Arthur's Lounge on Thursday: The shooting may have been the result of a gang rivalry, but the shooters and the victim were in the strip joint together for two hours, just coexisting, before the violence erupted. O'Ryan Johnson reports that the victim used to be with the Latin Kings. [Boston Herald]
--The BPD tied up some loose ends with an armed robbery arrest that happened on the 23rd. They also arrested a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old for pot and guns, while a 17-year-old was arrested for breaking into cars in Dorchester and a 19-year-old was arrested for a road-rage incident on Milk Street. The past few days in Boston have been violent, and the BPD has its hands full. More information has come out about the shootings that happened yesterday afternoon. The most startling news? The three people who were shot in Roslindale at Metropolitan and Poplar yesterday--one of whom died--were in a car in a funeral procession for another crime victim.
--The BPD reported a sexual assault on Charter Street at about 8:00 am yesterday morning, in the thick of the snowstorm. Here is the perp's description: "The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 6’0” in height, short hair, medium build, 25 - 30 years in age, wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt and black pants." --This is borderline blotter and definitely dumbass. A South Boston high school set up a shooting range for its students. The shooting range is for Junior ROTC students and is in the basement at Monument High School. According to the Herald, "A school employee notified the Herald about the practice after seeing two teenagers firing weapons at targets without supervision or warning signs in a locked classroom in early December."
--Last night, a snowplow struck a pregnant woman as she was walking in Billerica. She is now in the hospital. Her injuries are non-life-threatening. The driver of the snowplow stayed on the scene, but he was citied for driving with a suspended license. [Boston Globe]
--The BPD must love that Burger King commercial that punks customers with the information that BK has discontinued the Whopper. Upon hearing that information, the customers promptly freak out.

--Yesterday evening, a woman was caught driving in East Boston Memorial Park--on a pedestrian path. According to WBZ, a firefighter was at Chivas Restaurant last night when he said a group of Hispanic men "they did not want any 'Gringos' at the restaurant and he should leave."
