From their description of the video: "We went to 40 different Dunkin' Donuts in 1 day... we traveled 350 miles in 17 and ½ hours and consumed nothing but Dunkin Donuts products." We're pretty sure that we could get to 40 different stores in way less time, logging far less miles. There have to be about 40 in the Downtown and Financial District areas, but if you creep out a little you're going to find a dozen in Allston, a couple in JP and Roxbury, more in Dorchester, Cambridge, Somerville, and Medford.

On the coat tails of the Herald’s sale of many of its suburban newspaper franchises, the Audit Bureau of Circulations reported both newspapers in town saw a decline in circulation numbers – both papers down and Boston placed only second behind San Francisco for declining print readership. The Herald saw its print subscription drop at a slightly higher pace than the Globe for both the weekday circulation and the Sunday edition. It’s not that surprising...
For whatever reason, nothing captures the national imagination like the trials of handsome young men who kill their families. So expect Massachusetts to be propelled into the national spotlight for a while now that Neil Entwistle, the British man whose wife and infant child were found shot to death in the family's Hopkinton home a few weeks ago, has finally been arrested and is being brought back to the United States from England. Entwistle turned...
. . . what will he do?
The Museum of Fine Arts dug its shovels into the Fenway today, marking the groundbreaking of its $500 million expansion project, which is scheduled to be completed by 2010. The MFA has been working toward this new wing since 2001 and has already raised $316 million of the half billion dollar price tag, the largest fundraising campaign in the city's cultural history. Designed by the British firm Foster and Partners of London, the addition to the museum will be over two and a half football fields' worth of art space. The wing will feature a new place for the Art of the Americas, some renovations to the Art of Europe galleries, a new auditorium, and more space to hold workshops, new exhibits, and the like. The Shapiro family donated $15 million, hence the "Shapiro Family Courtyard," which will convert the existing garden courtyard area into a year-round space with a glass ceiling.
Those of you who are worried about your girlish figures but want to eat french fries and the like need to head over to b.good, the Back Bay restaurant with the tagline: "real.food.fast." Located on Dartmouth Street right past the Back Bay station, b.Good is fast food for the calorie-conscious, and is one of Bostonist's favorite lunchtime spots. All of the menu items are up on a board, which lists the nutritional value of everything. While the idea of fat grams listed next to an order of fries doesn't sound too appealing, the information isn't too scary since all food is basically healthy. (Those french fries, by the way, are baked and only have four grams of fat.) You can have your burger (lean 93% ground beef, turkey or veggie), fries, and shake (made with non-fat frozen-yogurt and skim milk) and not feel like an elephant as you stumble your way back to your cubicle for the afternoon.
About a month ago Bostonist went in for our facelift. Our skin tightened up a bit but it left us with a problem. No, we didn’t have an onslaught of suitors since we are looking so hot. We’re clashing. As you may notice when visiting our site, other cities are promoted with the banner spot at the top of the page. The position, when not occupied by an advertiser or a group of google-relevant ads, contains a one-color banner for Bostonist (like that above) or another network site. We’re tired of the black on blue logo that we see when we’re checking in with chicagoist, miamist, or the like. We want your help to remedy the situation, so we’re holding a themed internet open-studio for local artists and internet juggernauts.
When Bostonist thinks about Somerville (as we so often do), the first two-word phrase that comes to mind is "hip hop." OK, not really. We know of plenty of MCs from Boston and environs, but none from the Cambridge of Medford. Nevertheless, Union Square will play host this Saturday to the Hip Hop History Jam, sponsored by the Library of Vinyl Experience and the Somerville Arts Council as part of its ArtsUnion project. From...
Once again, Bostonist finds ourself woefully out of touch with the American mainstream. At least this time, it's not about politics or that crazy music the kids are listening to. Instead, it's produce, as in fruits and vegetables. We like produce and we like shopping for produce. Up to now, our only complaint about the purchasing of greens, fruits, and the like came on the rare occasions when the lateness of the hour forced us...
