--Another "wintry mix" is already heading into town this evening to smack you in the face and mess up your drive home. Whoopee. [WBZ]

Update: Greenpeace sent out a statement regarding Cape Wind. Greenpeace approves, with a caveat: "While the review is positive, it does point out that Cape Wind needs to minimize the impacts to avian species. We, along with others alarmed by the climate crisis, look forward to participating in the public feedback process of this review and doing all we can to bring this important global warming solution to Massachusetts."

The US Census reported that Bostonians love to walk to work. This week, Census data revealed that 12.5% of Boston workers walk, which puts them at the top of the list for American cities with the largest number of workers.

The US government is considering deporting the wife of Alex Jimenez, the soldier from Lawrence who has been missing in Iraq since May 12. Jimenez is a citizen of the United States. Maybe Romney is upset that he can't pronounce Ahmadinejad correctly (who can?). Perhaps he's afraid that there aren't enough of the Chargers for the Staties to drive. Or maybe he's just making another calculated move for a potential 2008 Presidential bid. Whatever the case may be, Romney has ordered to refuse all requests for security details in protection of the former Iranian president, Mohammad Khatami. Despite Romney's pledge, the visit is still on schedule.

But these days, it's never so clear-cut: Planes headed to Boston get diverted to other places to...

The UN has convened in Tunisia to begin the World Summit on the Information Society and the whole world is watching to see what happens. There are a lot of topics on the block, but only two of them are getting any press here in the US. The first is who gets to control the internet, and no one expects that to go well. The US thinks the only way to keep the internet free for everyone is not to let anyone else control it. The rest of the world disagrees, go figure.
