You know those TGIFriday's commercials, where they portray the hard workers of today sitting at a round table and laughing, drinking, and eating inexpensive but tasty comfort foods to celebrate the end of another work week? Not this time. This Friday, it's time for a fast, light meal and one or all of the variety of events going on in this city. It seems there's been a lot more nightlife lately, with parties happening left......

While all those Midwest folks are placing their bets on the home town team, we'll be sitting tight watching commercials and betting some squares like we just don’t care. Just like we don't care because we don't, the Pats are already out. So we're in it to win it with the boys of summer this year. Pitchers and Catchers report in about two weeks on February 17. Sometime between now and then the equipment truck......

Sure, there are a few note-worthy shows noted below, but let pre-planning and sold out shows be damned just grab a scalped ticket to attend. Tourfilter is testing out a sweet new service that allows cell users to SMS (or txt whatever your preferred lingo) "tonight" to MSGME (that's 67463) and almost before you can......

On the coat tails of the Herald’s sale of many of its suburban newspaper franchises, the Audit Bureau of Circulations reported both newspapers in town saw a decline in circulation numbers – both papers down and Boston placed only second behind San Francisco for declining print readership. The Herald saw its print subscription drop at a slightly higher pace than the Globe for both the weekday circulation and the Sunday edition. It’s not that surprising......

Given Bostonist's recent interest in graffiti and street art, as well as a few connections we have to a certain street art site, there was no way to avoid letting our readers know about SPOTHUNTERS, the newest installation to open at the New Art Center in Newton. Curated by Caleb Neelon and featuring the likes of Shepard Fairey, Greg Lamarche, Monster Project, and the curator himself - this installation is truly something to check......
