Ty Law is in touch with his inner Brett Favre. Law, who is a member of the Patriots 50th Anniversary Team and is in town to be honored as such at halftime of tonight’s game, talked to the Herald about playing again at 35-years old. He's been training in Florida, and says he'd gladly re-join the Patriots again. ”This is always the right team. This is home."

Did everyone have a nice Veteran's Day? Maybe spend a little time outdoors, or get some chores done, or quality time with the loved ones? Good, because forget it for the next couple of days. All three of our local wintery teams take the field/court/ice in the next 48 hours. And they're all pretty big games.
OK, how should we look at this? Was Monday's news that Ty Law signed a one-year deal with the JETS and will be (possibly, physical-pending) playing the Pats on THURSDAY an example of adding insult to the season-ending injury report concerning Adalius Thomas, or was Thomas' injury just a way to kick us (keeping his arm free to recover) while we were feeling taken down by the Law? Either way, we're not happy. Forgive us, we're feeling feisty.
It was about a week ago when we noted that the Bruins were in 6th place in the Prince of Wales Eastern Conference, which was a decent place to be, thus drawing the winner of the weak-sister Southeast Division. In that week, the B's have solidified the 6th spot, but are now officially in spittin' distance of bigger and better things. They've won blowouts this week, they've won shootouts, they've won at home, they've won on the road. They've done everything but beat Montreal. Now we see 6th place as little more than a nice springboard.
After bringing home a Superbowl title and a Worlds Series win, Boston sports teams have had an excellent year. As we grow closer to the one-year anniversary of the Reverse of the Curse, Boston sports players have been confusing the hell out of Bostonist this past week. The Patriots training camp started up today with some big gapping holes in their defensive lineup. Last week, Tedy Bruschi decided to opt out of this season...
The World Champion New England Patriots have lost two players in the past two days. Troy Brown, a wide receiver who has spent all 12 years of his NFL career with the Pats, has not been offered an option year by New England. This now places Brown as a free agent as of yesterday; by not picking up Brown for another year, the team saves $5 million. Brown was an offensive captain for this...
