Animals have been making news lately.
- A custodian found a python in a locker at the old Newton North High School on Tuesday. The Ball python is common in Massachusetts and was thought to be about a year old and either two or three feet long. (Boston.cmom reported both. Maybe his name is Reed Richards.) The custodian knew how to catch the snake by watching nature shows. [Boston.com]
- A deer was found dead in the Uxbridge Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday. The doe got in but couldn't get out. [MassLive.com]
- No animal story is complete without crazy cat people. The Barnstable Animal Control Officer rescued 38 cats from a Hyannisport home. The cats were dirty but not necessarily unhealthy. Some reportedly had "beards of fleas." [Cape Cod Times]
