With the NHL building an extra day into the schedule for the Stanley Cup finals, we all have more time to dwell on the game one defeat. The Bruins should take an extra day to figure out how to handle Vancouver's physical play and speed, two areas the Canucks excelled at Wednesday.
It's here! The Bruins begin the ultimate chase for the Stanley Cup tonight in Vancouver. The Canucks are a formidable club to take on, having collected a league-high 117 points in the regular season. The Bruins did beat the Canucks in the regular season thanks to Vancouver native Milan Lucic's goal. To beat Vancouver again, they Bruins need to work on the power play and clean up some defensive errors.
Meticulously coiffed former governor Mitt Romney was That Guy on a plane flight out of Vancouver, demanding that a fellow passenger sitting in front of Romney's wife raise the seat that he had reclined during takeoff. As a Massachusetts resident, Romney should not be surprised by sudden, inexplicable outbursts of rage, and, indeed, he apparently remained unflappable when the passenger went after him. On top of the loss of his chosen presidential candidate, Barack Obama, in the Massachusetts primaries (debate on the "Kennedy Lift" here), Senator Ted Kennedy now has to deal with more rumors about the Kennedy Clan.

Daisuke struggled in the first, no thanks to two fielding muffs by Alex Cora Julio...
When the cast and crew of the latest Scorsese flick, "The Departed" descended on Boston last year, Bostonist was excited to see some real movie stars film in the real streets of Boston (and not Toronto, Vancouver, or any other more affordable Canadian city). Unfortunately, they were only here about a month before heading down to New York City to use it as the backdrop for what is supposed to be an entire story set in Southie. We had to be happy with our fleeting glimpses of Leo, Matt, and Jack in the Herald's Inside Track every day since we knew that was all we were going to get.
The internets were abuzz yesterday with the launch of Flickr: Gamma Edition. They've been living in Beta as the site has been growing exponentially recently. Flickr is owned by Yahoo!, it was purchased in March '05. Since then Yahoo! photos have migrated to Flickr, a bit more storage and a few more features added, and the servers moved from Vancouver to California. But they've yet to roll into Flickr 1.0 as promised, yesterday they took a step in that direction.
While waiting in the bathroom line at the Diesel, Bostonist caught zombie overlord Alli Auldridge putting up a poster for Zombie March 2006. When cornered, Ms. Auldridge revealed her plans: on Saturday, April 29th, the local undead will walk from Davis Square to Harvard Square in search of a decent brain to eat. How long do you expect Zombie March 2006 to last? Are we talking about traditional, slowly-lurching Dawn of the Dead zombies,...
