A Massachusetts State Police helicopter landed on a baseball field in Wakefield on Thursday near Route 129. The police said two warning indicator lights came on, forcing the pilot and passenger to land near Water Street in Wakefield. David McCall, 72, of Wakefield was sent for a mental evaluation after facing charges that he shot and killed his wife at their home. MCall called 911 himself to report an alleged murder-suicide. Boston Police arrested two Revere men for stealing fire hydrant caps on Sunday in South Boston. Both suspects were charged with larceny, possession of burglarious tools, willful and malicious destruction of property, and trespassing.
